I’ve been going through the arduous process of updating all of my affiliate sites with disclaimers that comply with the FTC’s guidelines. In general, the rules state that you must disclose potential income that could arise from a blog post or review. On TradingStocks.me, I simply placed the following statement on my ‘About‘ page:
“Links to Amazon that appear on this site are affiliate links. If you purchase an item on Amazon after clicking one of those links, tradingstocks.me will be compensated.”
Since the FTC guidelines don’t explicitly state where the disclosure should appear, I believe this will suffice. Thoughts?
